Catapult Design is a non-profit product and service design firm that works with socially driven organizations to build forward-looking, accessible, and market-based products and services that give low-income and underserved people reliable tools to improve their quality of life. Its team of designers, engineers, and business specialists dedicated to creating solutions to social problems with people and planet at the forefront.
Catapult Design partnered with Spindle Design, Open Knowledge Framework, DODO Design, YUX, and Alt Unfold to better understand and prioritize the unmet needs of women as they relate to modern contraceptive methods. In regions like Kenya, Nigeria, and Senegal, contraceptive choices are often developed without sufficient input from women. This disconnect leads to solutions that may not fully address the nuanced and diverse preferences shaping women’s contraceptive decision-making.
The platform was used to document a robust set of insights, grounded in real stories and women’s experiences to helping inform the development of contraceptive solutions that are inclusive, accessible, and closely aligned with the realities of women’s lives.

Custom Templates for Data Upload
Configurable templates allow for custom forms for each immersion and research team to have their own structure to upload research notes and media albeit with a unifying tag architecture
Participant Management
Supported the registration of participants to unify data for each participants across multiple immersions of the longitudinal study that took place across several months
Annotation
Configured tag systems allow team members across geographies to collaborate on uploaded research notes to complete annotation to uncover key quotes and patterns
